Accustomed to the cozy and chill vibes of the lofi genre which has amassed kümmel over 2.5M streams internationally, “hello sky” is a step out of the ordinary as the debut instrumental guitar album from the Canadian guitarist and producer. This 10-song journey tells the story of wonder and excitement that we humans feel when gazing towards the sky. Whether it’s the shifting of clouds or the twinkling of distant stars our sky doesn’t represent the limit, but the endless potential that every one of us holds.

Every strum, pluck, click and tap on this album was created by a trio of guitars (classical, acoustic and electric) to cover a range of playstyles from solo acoustic fingerstyle to dreamy reverb filled electric arrangements.

The only sounds from these 10 songs not directly made from a guitar, was the bespoke nature recordings captured by kümmel in his travels throughout Canada and California.
